Just the other day, the next generation BMW M2 was caught testing on the Nürburgring for the first time. And now, the sports car is out for a new testing session. This time, however, it is not sprinting around the ring and is spotted sporting some extra M Performance parts.

This is just an aesthetical move, but it makes the next M2 look so much sportier and more aggressive. It almost looks like a car that's ready to race in the next Fast and Furious movie!

So, what are the extra parts? First of all, there's the hard-to-miss huge rear wing. Look closer and you will also notice a strange-looking exhaust with the pipes stacked in the middle. While everything else is very well camouflaged, we expect to see some other changes too.

The M Performance parts won't change anything under the hood. So, even with the extra tweaks, this special M2 will be offered with the same 3.0-liter inline-six engine seen in the M3 and the M4. Output is rumored to be around 400 horsepower in the regular M2 and around 430 horsepower in the M2 Competition version. Customers will get to choose between a manual and automatic transmission.

Expect the new BMW M2 to be revealed sometime in the summer of 2022, and most likely, the M Performance package will be launched in the same time.
