Super Bowl LIV is just around the corner and ads from car manufacturers are starting to kick in. The latest commercial comes from Hyundai, which advertises its new Remote Smart Parking Assist feature with a handful of celebrities and the help of Boston accents. Yes, Smaht Paht isn't a typo, it's the actual name of the ad.

The commercial starts with comedian Rachel Dratch and actor Chris Evans talking on the sidewalk while John Krasinski arrives in a Hyundai Sonata. He gets out of the car saying he'll try to park it as Evans warns him that the parking space isn't big enough.

Krasinski then gets out and uses a remote to park the Sonata in the tight spot while saying "look who's got smart park." This is when Dratch asks "smaht pahk?" and every one is blown away by the remote parking feature. They start shouting about "smaht pahk" in the street as former Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz pops out at a window.

And I'm not saying it in a bad way. It's actually a breath of fresh air from modern ads that want to seem "smahteh" than usual.

What's "smaht pahk?"

If you're not familiar with the 2020 Hyundai Sonata, "smart park" is short for Remote Smart Parking Assist, a feature that lets you move the car in and out of tight parking spaced using the key fob}. Just like in the commercial, you don't have to be inside the vehicle to operate it. Pretty "smaht" huh?

As of this writing, Remote Smart Parking Assist is available on 2020 Sonata models, but it will expand to other Hyundai vehicles by the end of the year.
