Tag Heuer and the Formula 1 prodigy, Max Verstappen, have partnered to create a special-edition watch that will make you go weak in the knees. It is based on the Swiss watchmaker’s signature Formula 1 wristwatch but gets a few tweaks here and there by the 21-year old Dutch racer.

About The Max Verstappen Watch

Tag Heuer is the go-to chronograph brand for most driving and racing enthusiasts. This time, they have jointly worked with Max Verstappen on this new red and black wristwatch that is designed for and by the young prodigy. The rear case back has the Red Bull Racing logo embossed on it. The watch is 43 mm in size, and its steel case houses a quartz chronograph movement, with a black ceramic tachymeter bezel and a bracelet with matching stainless steel and black ceramic links. This is not the first time that the Dutch and the Swiss have partnered to create a timepiece; Tag Heuer and Max Verstappen have partnered twice before as well. The latest design will be a limited-edition wristwatch – with just 1,300 copies available for the taking.

A Young Talent In The Making

Verstappen said, “The watch is very sporty, with nice racing colors in black and red. I think it’s very cool – exactly like what I wanted it to be!” It looks like the Swiss company decided to have a Verstappen watch to celebrate the success this young racer has tasted in the last couple of years. Max Verstappen first joined the Formula 1 circuit in 2015 with Scuderia’s Toro Rosso. Very soon, he was moved to Red Bull’s front-running team and raced his way to winning the Spanish Grand Prix on his debut.

This is his best result so far, matching his previous record and beating his teammate Daniel Ricciardo by a handy margin. Call it a blessing in disguise if you want, but Ricciardo’s leaving for Renault, making Verstappen a bigger asset for the company. Pierre Gasly has been called up from STR to team up with Verstappen at RBR next season.
