Shmee Just Became One of a Handful of People that Will Get to Lay Hands on the Very First Bugatti Divo

He started out as a supercar vlogger in 2010 and it just a few years he gained a massive following and became a supercar collector, now owning desirable cars like the Ford GT, McLaren Senna, Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro, and a McLaren 675LT Spider. On top of having a cool garage filled with rare cars, he also gets to get up close and personal with exclusive cars most of us may never see in the metal. In his latest YouTube video, he’s getting a close look at the Bugatti Divo. And not just any Divo, but the very first, chassis no. 1 customer car.
On his way to see the Divo, Shmee drives a Ferrari, and he also showcases his McLaren 675LT Spider for a bit, so there’s more than just one supercar to drool at in this video.
As for the highlight of this video, the Bugatti Divo is fitted with a "DVO I" vanity plate and is finished in matte black, but it also features exposed carbon-fiber elements and baby blue accents on the front splitter, side skirts, engine hood, and rear fascia. Shmee also gets into the car, and we can see a similar setup with black elements, exposed carbon-fiber, and blue upholstery elements in Alcantara and leather.
This Bugatti Divo is one of only 40 produced.
The Divo was unveiled in 2019, but it’s only now that the first example left the assembly line. The Divo is based on the Chiron, but its exterior has been completely redesigned for improved aerodynamics and performance. In short, it’s the most capable version of the Chiron ever built so far.
Based on the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept but also inspired by the iconic Type 57SC Atlantic, the Divo features a massive rear wing, a NACA duct on the roof, a massive front splitter, and a vented front hood. The cabin remains similar to the Chiron, but Bugatti used Alcantara and carbon-fiber trim to save weight. It also features stiffer springs for improved agility.
The quad-turbo, 8.0-liter W-16 engine is a carryover from the Chiron, so it generates the same 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque.
It’s just as quick with a 0-to-60 mph sprint of 2.4 seconds, but top speed is reduced from 260 to 236 mph due to the extra drag produced by the aerodynamic body. The Divo was sold to Bugatti customers who already own Chiron models with prices starting from a whopping $5.4 million.
