Next-generation gaming consoles typically means next-generation gaming titles, and we can expect as much as when the Xbox Series X arrives later this year. One gaming title that we’re all excited to see is the new Forza game that will serve as one of the Series X’s flagship titles. Details about the actual game remain under wraps, but you can expect the next-generation Forza game, whether its Motorsport or Horizon, to be nothing short of a jaw-dropper. We got a brief glimpse of the game from the official announcement trailer, and let’s just say that we can expect to spend a lot of time on our couches once the next-gen Xbox console — and the next-gen Forza title — arrives in time for the holidays.

What can we expect from the next-generation Forza title?

Knowing what we know about the current Forza titles, we can expect the next-generation Forza games to be completely out of this world. Granted, Turn 10 Studios has yet to reveal any details about the next Forza Motorsport game, but that’s understandable considering that the game is still in its early development stage. Don’t expect details to arrive anytime soon, though, to its credit, the developer is making up for it by dropping an announcement trailer that gives us a peek of what we can expect when the game finally arrives.

“Stunning” doesn’t properly describe what we just watched. .

While we would’ve preferred to see proper gameplay video from the trailer, we understand that there wasn’t any. Development, after all, is still on-going. It would be premature for Turn 10 to release gameplay footage if that aspect of the development isn’t as clean as the developer would like it to be. What we do know is that Turn 10 isn’t bashful when it comes to maximizing the technology it has at its disposal. Take ray-tracing, for example. The next-gen Forza game will support that technology to ensure that the shadows and reflections in the game are all on point.

Will Forza Horizon 4 Be Updated for the Xbox Series X?

It’s unclear if the Xbox One version of the game will receive similar updates, but it’s unclear if the hardware in the current-generation console will be able to accommodate the new technologies that the developer plans to use in the next-generation game.

It is a good idea to create an upgraded version of Forza Horizon 4 using all new technologies for the Xbox Series One. As exciting as it is to know that the next-generation Forza Motorsport game is on its way, it’s unreasonable to think that it will be available by the time the Xbox Series X hits the market later this year.

When Will the Next Forza Motorsport Go On Sale?

Turn 10 Studios creative director Chris Esaki has confirmed that the new Forza Motorsport will have a “vastly different and amazing experience.” If it’s going to be “vastly different,” it’s going to take some time for the developer to get to that point with the game.

So while everyone’s waiting for Forza Motorsport to arrive for the Xbox Series X, an upgraded version of Forza Horizon 4 should suffice. The good news is that the next Forza Motorsport will make full use of next-gen hardware, and that means it'll be more realistic and beautiful that ever!
