After building all the hype and curiosity over the months, the fastest seven-seater to grace the Nurburgring was leaked just a day before its reveal. We had already seen it in the spy shots and teaser images, so there's nothing surprising, really. These images show the big RS badge on the grille and the 20-inch wheels. Are we still excited about the reveal? Hell yeah!

It’s good, but is it good enough?

Initial impressions indicate that the car is a little too subtle for our liking. Given how Skoda has been marketing this as the first SUV in their line-up to get the RS badge, and that whole Nurburgring “gimmick,” the Czech company should’ve been bolder and aggressive with the Kodiaq RS. This is typical VW logic to make the powerful version of the car look humble and tamed. Don’t let this beast’s understated looks fool you. The brakes have also been upgraded to match the strong, torquey engine.

We Can’t wait for the first drives to come in

One interesting thing that we’re looking forward to is the Dynamic Sound Boost system that’ll artificially enhance the engine’s soundtrack based on the chosen driving mode. Guess we’ll be seeing an awful lot of this in cars from now on; thanks, largely, to the electrification era.

Conclusion

Although the unveiling is set for tomorrow during the press meet, Skoda is planning to organize a sneak preview tonight. Are you hyped up for the unveiling of the 2019 Skoda Kodiaq RS? Let us know in the comments section below.
