We knew for some time that the new 2020 Land Rover Defender will play a big role in the upcoming No Time to Die 007 movie, but the only proof we had was an all-black prototype photographed on the set.

This time around, Land Rover provides a glimpse into what we should expect from the movie when it comes to the Defender’s part, and boy, you won’t be disappointed, we can tell you that much.

Rest Assured, You’ll Want a 2020 Defender After Watching This Video

We’ve obsessively covered all there was to cover about the new Defender. Trim levels, wacky optional features, engine choices, the fact that it was turned into a Lego Technic set, you name it. And just when we thought the 2020 Defender hype cooled off, here comes Land Rover with a 60-second video showing its off-roader getting a beating from, well, the environment.

Obviously, the Defender will, too, star in the movie alongside Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, and Léa Seydoux. And since there can’t be a James Bond film without stunts as there can’t be one without the “kill the villain, get the girl” plot twist, naturally, the 2020 Defender had to conform to the former concept.

We’re pretty sure, though, that this short clip dubbed “The New Land Rover Defender - Unstoppable” is just a teaser of what’s really in store for us Defender-wise once the movie airs.

Still, it’s hard not to notice the slow-motion powerslide or even the failed jump that sends the new Defender nose-first into a pond. Which got us wondering: that’s to expect from the full movie, provided that this let’s-call-it-a-trailer is jam-packed with all sorts of action?

Even more impressive is how, towards the end of the video, the SUV somehow gets back on its four wheels and simply steers away from that bad landing. We guess there’s no time to die for the legendary off-roader either, then.
