Ram has crashed Ford’s party big time. Ford was all set to unveil the fourteenth generation of the F-150, which is arguably the biggest launch of the year when Ram decided to drop a teaser of the upcoming Ram Rebel TRX just hours before the F-150’s debut.
The Rebel TRX goes up against the F-150 Raptor, so this strategic timing was purely evil. What a war this is turning out to be!
Small Teaser, Big Impact
Coming to the teaser, the nine-second clip doesn’t even give a glimpse of the truck, but you can see it leave a dust storm behind. The clip was posted on Ram Trucks’ official Facebook page and Twitter account. The caption read, “It’s not a mirage. Ram TRX |
Late Summer 2020”. |
This is not the first time Ram took a jibe with the TRX at the Ford Raptor. Ram has engraved a section in the cabin of the Rebel TRX which shows a scale comparison of a human, the Rebel TRX truck, the Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur, after which this truck is named, and a little dino in front of it which is the Raptor.
Even the placement of the dinos is clever and could be comprehended as the T-Rex attacking the Raptor.
