• The 2023 Ford Kuga Facelift Starts Shedding It’s Clothes, Starting With The Grille Being Revealed

Expect a major make-over to the front end

It’s been almost a month since we spotted the facelift Ford Kuga out for its first testing session, and today, our spy photographers caught a new prototype on the German roads. It not only changes the camouflage, but also reveals its grille and the air intake in the lower part of the front bumper.

Despite being launched in 2019, the third generation Ford Kuga is about to receive quite an important update, with design elements inspired by the recently launched Fiesta and Focus models. As you can see, the grille will be larger and will get a new pater design, and will also sit higher than in the current model. While in the current version the Ford logo sits above, on the facelift version, it will be incorporated into the grille.

The headlights will also be completely redesigned and will adopt the same LED graphics that we’ve seen on the Mach-E. The hood will be more sculpted, the front bumper will also be redesigned, and the air intakes will be larger.

On the other hand, changes in the back will be minimal and will include redesigned graphics for the taillights and a redesigned bumper.

We do not expect any changes made under the hood, so expect the facelift Kuga to be offered with the same engine lineup as the current model: gasoline, diesel mild-hybrid, full-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

The facelift Ford Kuga should be launched in the summer of 2022 as the 2023 model year.
