Despite being not even two years old, the Palisade is about to receive its first facelift. Hyundai started testing the facelift version back in February when we spied the first prototype out in the snow. Now, our spy photographers managed to spot another Palisade Facelift prototype out for some testing session in the cold weather of Northern Europe.

Just like in the past, the prototype is wearing some heavy camouflage, meaning that we should expect some major updates. In fact, the model placed above the Santa Fe is about to receive a makeover inspired by the Tucson.

The heavy camouflage makes it difficult to spot any updates, but we can easily make an idea of what the new, bigger grille will look like. Also, it has been rumored that the facelift Palisade will get new LED lights reaching into the grille - just like in the Tucson. They seem to have a split design, with the lower part being re-designed.

At the back, the taillights will be redesigned and we can also see an extra set of taillights mounted on the tailgate. Hyundai will also offer small updates to both the front and the rear bumper. There might also be small tricks here and there, but since the camouflage is so heavy, it is hard to imagine what exactly will happen.

The interior will remain pretty much unchanged, but Hyundai will offer the latest version of the infotainment system. You should also probably expect new trims and upholstery, and more safety technology as well.

As for the engine lineup, it will most likely remain unchanged, so expect to see the same 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. However, rumors are also talking about hybrid and/or plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Expect the facelift Palisade to be unveiled by the end of 2022 with sales to begin in early 2023.
