It was just a few days ago that Hyundai teased a picture of its upcoming three-row Palisade. While we got nothing more aside from snippets of the front end and the side profile, this picture leaked by brettdaviscars gives us an idea of what the rest of it looks like.

2023 Hyundai Palisade

New vs Old

As you can see, when compared with the outgoing model, the front end has been reworked. Let's begin with that new grille which now sits far more upright and is one size bigger. I'm glad that Hyundai has ditched the old curvaceous frame of the grille for something that is far more brawny and in-your-face.

Now, I know that grilles are getting bigger and bigger on newer models, but I think in this particular case, it makes total sense, as it does on vehicles like the new Sequoia and the Tundra. But, on a BMW M3, I'm not so sure.

Moving on to the lighting, you can clearly see that the daytime running LEDs are larger, and the main vertical strip has now moved to the outside. The main headlights also sit within a larger vertical housing and we could potentially see an update there as well.

The new updated front end looks borderline blingy, but in my opinion, it somehow works. I have always been a fan of the way the Palisade looks, except for that hideous grille which never fit the rest of the vehicle.

As for the rest of the design, the side profile seems to carry over the same sheet metal as before. The new rims sure do look handsome and do try to elevate the premium quotient of the SUV to a certain degree. The extra splashes of chrome also help the Palisade. Expect some big changes in the cabin in terms of onboard tech.

We're now just a couple of days away from the official unveiling of the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade at the 2022 New York International Auto Show, so watch this space.
