Mercedes-Benz is busy updating its entire lineup. In the past few months, we caught facelift prototypes of pretty much all the models Mercedes is currently offering. The facelift A-Class was last caught testing back in December 2021, right before the winter holidays.

Now, the car is back, and it seems that Mercedes-Benz decided to test both the sedan and the hatchback at the same time, but not only this, prototypes were caught testing all over Europe, outside the factory's own gates, at Nürburgring, and around the Arctic Circle.

We do not expect the facelift to bring any major updates, reason why the prototype only wears very little camouflage. The headlights seem to retain the same shape as the current A-Class, but we do expect them to get new LED graphics. There will also be an updated front bumper and modified air intakes.

Changes will be small at the rear too, and they will be limited to new exhausts tips, as well as new reflector lights, and new LED graphics for the taillights.

This time, our spy photographers were also able to take a few shots of the interior as well. You can easily spot a new center console. And, where the large touchpad used to be, there is now a storage compartment.

As for the engine lineup, the facelift will most likely retain the usual lineup: a 1.3-liter turbo-four offered in two versions - one with 134 horsepower and the other one with 161 horsepower, plus a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel.

Expect the facelift A-Class to be unveiled before the end of 2022, with sales set to begin in early 2023. The standard A-Class will be followed by facelift versions of the A35 AMG and the A45 AMG.
