Porsche has released the technical specifications of the Euro-sped 2019 Macan today at the Paris Motor Show. Even though the crossover was showcased a couple of months back, the Stuttgart marquee had not revealed any information about it for the European market. The Euro-spec edition comes with changes all around and a new engine as well.

Under The Hood

It is equipped with a gasoline particulate filter and benefits from an upgraded combustion chamber geometry. Power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox that helps the Macan sprint from naught to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds. It hits a high of 140 mph before topping out.

Macan Gets Tech-Heavy

Apart from a few tweaks here and there, the 2019 Macan is majorly the same on the outside. On the inside, the refreshed Macan gets a larger 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Porsche Connect, Apple CarPlay, and wireless hotspot as standard.

Many Packages To Choose From

Depending on the optional packages you choose from, you can get a GT-inspired steering wheel, heated windshield, air ionizer for cleaner air inside the cabin, a new traffic assist system that inlcudes adaptive cruise control at speeds of up to 37 mph. It doesn't just accelerate and brakes, but it also helps the driver remain in the correct lane. Even more kit can be added if you’re willing to spend money on a heated windshield and/or on an air ionizer to make the air inside the cabin cleaner.

Conclusion

The Macan entered production last month at the Leipzig factory in Germany and Porsche is accepting orders for the Macan in Europe. The car starts at €58,763, which is approximately $68,000. The specs for Macan S have not been revealed, but some speculations suggest that it could get the 2.9-liter, turbocharged V-6 from the Panamera. The new Macan surely looks like a better package.
