The next time you see a vulture pecking away at a carcass near an automotive graveyard, that carcass may just be Audi’s highest performing version of the A4. The Audi RS4 was originally rumored to receive a new generation in 2010, but since this year has come and gone, we can all venture a solid guess that that rumor was completely unwarranted. Now the next ripple spreading through the automotive world is that the next generation A4 - set to be revealed in 2015 - will not receive its RS version.

Not being able to see the next RS4 is extremely unsettling for us as it was one of our favorite Audi models offered on the US market - especially in its convertible version - but we’ll just have to see what other piece of automotive meat will get tossed to us when the time is right. Audi seems to think the future RS6 will be worthy enough to attract the RS4 fans and this is where their focus will be until the car debuts. This new model is rumored to be powered by a new 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that will deliver around 600hp, which is same as the RS7. Sounds intriguing enough for us. What do you guys think? Yeah, I guess it would be better to less consider this car since it’s not that stunning. However, the speed performance of v8 technology is kind of impressive.

Yeah, the car is not that impressive! With the outdated styling of the vehicle I would say that its better to less consider its production.

These cars have an impressive look and I think boosting its power into an impressive figure performance is just an easy task for them! I can’t wait to see the debut of this car.

Well, just recently Audi is continuous working on the modification of the R-series. I still don’t know what to expect for they haven’t mentioned any detail about it.

I just got blown away with the price of this car! And I don’t get why they keep on comparing this car with the M3. RS4 has lot exclusivity that M3 doesn’t have.

Rumor has it that the proclaimed dead Audi RS4 will be alive and well again the next 2 years with a new generation. We remain skeptical.

New RS4 cars will be equipped with Audi’s V8 engine and the maximum power of 450hp as well as it used a new aerodynamic package and air intake grille.

I thought BMW was discontinuing/not developing a successor to the M3 sedan as well. So this comes as no surprise.

not a shame really, typical Audi product cycle, we saw it before with the b5 to b7, it only makes sense we’d wait for a b9 what with the RS5 being introduced.

What a shame. There’s a reason why I loved the M3 Sedan and RS4.. 4 doors! Power and practicality.

In fact the RS4 was pretty much a standout, because it had a V-8 and 400hp+ years before the M3 or IS-F, but even today if it still sold, it would be higher than the M3, IS-F and even the 556hp CTS-V. Great car, but not something I would call a bargain.

Best deal in the segment? Not even. The last gen RS4 started at $67 and could go all the way up to $80K+. i guess the 4 year contract is extended, or they haven’t reach the number of sales required to replace a new model or revamped a model.
