This past August, Bentley finally updated the Continental, blessing the nameplate with a fresh look, a longer wheelbase, and a more streamlined body. Now, the high-end luxury brand is giving the Continental GT a new drop-top version, and to our eyes, it’s looking even more tasty than the coupe. To sweeten the deal, Bentley also took care to update the convertible’s roof.

More Sky At The Touch Of A Button

Fold the roof back up, and it’s still surprisingly quiet inside the cabin, with the latest convertible hushing the outside world by an additional 3 decibels compared to the previous Continental GT Convertible. If you fancy a breeze in your hair, but the outside temperature threatens to ruin the fun, the Continental Convertible also comes with a neck warmer feature. Finally, a selection of eight different roof liners and seven unique convertible tops make for plentiful customization opportunities.

As for motivation, this drop-top employs the same 6.0-liter W-12 engine as the coupe model. Output comes to 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, all of which is routed to the high-spec AWD system by way of an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing starts at $236,100. Look for the 2019 Bentley Continental GT Convertible to appear at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show later this week, with a cameo expected on the streets of Hollywood shortly thereafter.
