The second generation Rolls Royce Ghost was announced in early 2020 and the Extended version followed just a few months after. Like all the other Rolls Royce models, the Ghost is defined by opulence and extravagance. It may not be don't the same level as, say, the Phantom but it still ranks within the best of the best. Well, Brabus wanted to prove that it can do better than Rolls Royce and it actually found a way to make the Ghost better.

Brabus 700 Horsepower and Torque

The second-generation Ghost is offered with the same 6.7-liter V-12 engine as the first-gen model. But while the output remained unchanged, at 563 horsepower, peak torque went up to 627 pound-feet - or about 52 pound-feet over the previous generation.

Of course, a V-12 engine can deliver a lot more than this, and that's where Brabus comes in with its PowerXtra RR68-700 performance upgrade. It includes new maps for injection and ignition, reprogrammed electronic boost pressure control, and a new plug-and-play engine control module. After all the work, the V-12's final output was increased by 127 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque, bringing the Ghost's output up to 700 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque.

Thanks to the extra power, the 0 to 60 mph sprint time was dropped by 0.1 seconds to 4.6 seconds, but top speed remains electronically limited to 155 mph. To improve the engine sound, the Ghost is also equipped with an ll-stainless sport exhaust system that ends with four carbon/titanium pipes. Just like with all the other kits announced by Brabus these past few days, the new exhaust system comes with actively controlled butterfly valves, which can be manually controlled by the driver from inside the cockpit by choosing between “Coming Home” mode and the “Sport” position.

Interior Upgrades

As is common nature for Brabus, The 700 comes with a new body kit made from carbon fiber that will improve both the car's appearance and its aerodynamic efficiency. All the new components are offered in either glossy or matt color, but you can go for any color you want.

Up front the Ghost received a new front spoiler that will minimize the front-axle lift at high speeds and optimizes the handling stability. In the back, there is a subtle lip spoiler that will provide a sportier look, while the new carbon diffuser was specially designed to house the four end pipes of the exhaust.

Like with any other proper tuning kit, the exterior picture is not completed until a new set of wheels is installed. Brabus is offering tailor-made 21- and 22-inch wheels in four different designs, so you have a lot of options to go with.

The car in the press pictures rides on 22-inch Monoblock M "Platinum Edition" forged wheels, finished in a cool "Shadow Chrome" paint and wrapped in high-performance tires of sizes 265/35 ZR 22 in the front and 305/30 ZR 22 on the rear axle. The tires are offered by Continental, Pirelli, or YOKOHAMA.

Brabus is also offering a lowering module for the standard air suspension that will bring the car closer to the ground by about 30 millimeters (1.2 inches).

The cabin was trimmed in porcelain-colored leather with black piping, while the headliner is made from black Alcantara. Of course, since we are talking about an already very luxurious work, there wasn't much Brabus could have done about it. It only went with adding polished stainless pedals, exposed-carbon scuff plates with Brabus logo with red and white backlighting, and the carbon elements for the instrument panel and center console.
