Can you really have it all with the Chiron Pur Sport?

Hypercars are one of the most fascinating categories of cars ever to exist. Over the past two decades, Bugatti has been consistently breaking speed records as well as price tag records in its class, with very few manufacturers being able to compete with the old French brand. Just like its predecessor, the Chiron has had more than a few versions made, some of which are highly-exclusive. With that being said, only one of those versions can be the ultimate.

Matt Farah’s YouTube channel, TheSmokingTire has been providing some epic one takes of some epic and not so epic cars over the years. This one is definitely the former.

The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is the most hardcore Bugatti ever made. This means, it’s stiffer, lower, has a big wing, and an even bigger price tag - $3.9 million to be exact.

It is common knowledge that when making a more performance-oriented version of a car usability suffers. The Chiron is technically a hyper GT since, despite its capabilities, it still retains the luxury element.

The Pur Sport takes the already capable Chiron and makes it lighter, stiffer, and gives it a more aggressive aero. How much stiffer, you ask? It’s stiffer than an LMP1 racecar. Matt has driven a lot of high-performance cars and is a difficult man to impress, but according to him, the Pur Sport still retains that usability, despite being more hardcore. Can you really have it all? Find out in the video below.

Born in 1992, I come from a family of motoring enthusiasts. My passion for cars was awoken at the age of six, when I saw a Lamborghini Diablo SV in a magazine. After high school I earned a master’s degree in marketing and a Master of Arts in Media and Communications. Over the years, I’ve practiced and become skilled in precision driving and to date have test driven more than 250 cars across the globe. Over the years, I’ve picked up basic mechanical knowledge and have even taken part in the restoration of a 1964 Jaguar E-Type and an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint. Lately, I’ve taken a fancy to automotive photography, and while modern cars are my primary passion, I also have a love for Asian Martial Arts, swimming, war history, craft beer, historical weapons, and car restoration. In time, I plan my own classic car restoration and hope to earn my racing certificate, after which I expect to establish my own racing team.  Read full bio
