There for a while, it seemed like there were more startups with dreams of some extreme high-performance supercar than there actually were supercars. Supercar startups aren’t exactly quite so prominent these days, probably because most of those that did surface were built on hopes, dreams, and a rendering will little else to give the world. Now, we’re here to look at the Deus Vayanne and, make no mistake, it comes from a very new startup, though, there’s actually a real-life prototype, and the company isn’t going it alone.

Deus Automobiles and the Vayanne Electric Hypercar

The Vayanne is an electric hypercar that’s been developed by Deus Automobiles in Austria. The company was established back in 2020 with only the goal of building niche electric hypercars, so if the Vayanne actually happens, it’ll be very limited – limited to 99 examples, to be exact. It’s said to be good for over 2,200 horsepower (1,641 kW) and is supposed to feature a “design language of symmetry and infinity.”

So, we have a crazy-looking car with the crazy promise to produce crazy amounts of power. The whole thing seems, well, crazy, right? It might be, but the car you see here isn’t just some rendering like all the other imaginary hypercars of this caliber that have come and gone before it. It’s a complete vehicle with an interesting interior and a somewhat organic, sleek, and honest design outside. The Infiniti symbol is a bit of a common theme, though, as it’s visible in the front air intake, the taillights, and you can even see it in the shape of the dash when you look at it from the right angle.

As for the rest of the interior, there’s a digital instrument cluster, a center touchscreen display that isn’t too big but not too small, and a bank of switches that, quite honestly, are unexplainable at this point. It’s the all-electric powertrain that’s really impressive here, though. Deus doesn’t have any specific figures as of yet. It is predicted to deliver more than 2,200 horsepower, which would make for a 1.99-second sprint to 62 mph and a predicted top speed of 248 mph.

If these claims sound familiar, well, that’s because they are. They are practically an echo of every other startup that has promised some extreme car such as this one. Where the Deus Vayanne sets itself apart, though, is the muscle behind it. Both Italdesign – yes, that Italdesign – and Williams Advanced Engineering are involved as partners. If you’re not aware of the latter, it’s connected to the Willaims F1 team and it has an impressive amount of experience in the motorsport world, including electric performance. So, where others failed, the Deus Vayanne may actually happen.

We should learn more about the Deus Vayanne soon enough, as the company plans to begin deliveries in 2025.
