Say hello to the Fering Pioneer. A unique series hybrid truck that has a colossal range of 4350 miles
Fering Technologies, based in the U.K., is the brainchild of British engineer Ben Scott-Geddes, who has worked with Ferrari and Mclaren in the past
The Pioneer has a pair of electric motors, one on each axle, powered by a 20-kWh battery pack with a range of just 50 miles. It employs an aluminum frame with durable fabric doors, that help keep the weight down at just 3307 pounds
Combine that with the biodiesel range extender and you really do have a vehicle capable of going out into the wilderness
Its 22.5-inch wheels can fit a variety of tires, including standard-sized truck tires, hence ensuring tire availability pretty much anywhere
Fering has a target of 150 to 200 vehicles annually. A prototype is already out, with production set to start in early 2022 and a price tag north of $200,000. Swipe Up to Read More.
