In the past few years, automotive designer, Afzal Kahn, has wowed the world with a few very cool projects. You probably remember the Aston Martin WB12 Vengeance, the 'Flying Huntsman' 105 Longnose, and the Huntsman 110 6x6 Defender Double Cap Pickup revealed in the past few years. Now, Kahn has come up with a project that pays homage to the Ferraris of the yore

Its latest project was actually started back in 2018 and it is based on the Ferrari GTC4Lusso. Called the "GTC4 Grand Edition", the new project "is the most complete expression of everything the designer stands for: styling research directed towards defining timeless styling statements using the best British coach-built traditions."

Even if the project is based on the GTC4Lusso, the new coachbuilt project features design elements inspired by the Ferraris of the past. The front wings are inspired by the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, while the headlight apertures are inspired by the 2019 Ferrari Monza SP2.} So are the car's front grille, front driving lights, and front bumper.

The car features a Grand Edition livery which is inspired by Ferrari’s both past and present, while the exhaust end pipes and the forged wheels feature an Anthracite paint. Speaking of wheels, Afzal Kahn used a set of forged wheels in Diamond Cut finish sized 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. They are wrapped in Continental tires.

"I wanted to create my own vision which paid homage to Ferrari. If they created a new facelift model, I believe this is what it would look like. I have a passion for metal work coachbuilding. However, the traditional manner in which hand-crafted cars are made has all but disappeared in the U.K. with only a handful of talented craftsmen who can produce what I believe is a form of art. And, I am fortunate to be a part of it and help to continue its legacy," explained Afzal Kahn when talking about his project.
