It has been a long time coming, but Ford has finally unveiled the 2021 Bronco. The new Bronco will be available as a two-door, four-door, and Sport avatars and will be available with your choice between two engines, a lot of off-road equipment, and over 200 aftermarket accessories to choose from. The off-roader, as seen earlier, draws a lot of retro cues and comes with a host of tech features that will make the off-roading experience much better.

What Powers The New Bronco?

Power will be sent to all four wheels as standard via a ten-speed automatic transmission, or a seven-speed manual gearbox, where one is a crawler gear with a ratio of 94.75:1.

Ford will offer the off-roader with two different four-wheel-drive systems. Power in both cases is distributed to Dana axles with front and rear locking differentials. The Bronco is also equipped with Trail Turn Assist that tightens the off-roading turning radiuses through torque vectoring. A hydraulic stabilizer bar disconnect system is also offered here.

The company is also offering the Bronco with a HOSS – High-performance Off-road Stability Suspension – system. The off-roader comes standard with Terrain Management System with seven different drive modes - Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery and Sand, with Baja, Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl for off-road driving. G.O.A.T Mode is also available. There’s also something known as Trail Control and Trail One-Pedal Drive to make crawling much easier.

How Is The Bronco On The Outside?

The two and four-door Bronco’s boxy stature will appeal to everyone. Meanwhile, the Bronco Sport is a little curvy but feels more like an off-roader with an urban-vehicle bias. The Bronco comes with removable doors and roof. The doors can be snuck into the cargo area easily. In the two-door model, the roof is divided into three sections, whereas the four-door model comes with four sections. The roof has no beam whatsoever, thus making for a great open-top view.

There is a modern high-strength steel roll cage with curtain bags to protect the occupants from side impacts. Steel bumpers are standard, while higher trims can be had with front bash plate, and shields for the engine, transmission, transfer case, and fuel tank. The Bronco can be had with 17-inch Beadlock wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires.

How Much Does The New Ford Bronco Cost?

Ford also said that over 200 aftermarket accessories will be available right from its launch. Various packages will also be offered, which include the trademarked names like Badlands, Wildtrak, Outer Banks, etc. A limited-production First Edition will also be offered at launch.
