High speeds require great brakes, and brake specialists, Mov’it, have created a brake system for the Ford Focus RS that will facilitate the stopping power needed to control the 300hp produced by the sports car’s 2.5L 20 V DOHC RS engine. Currently, the Focus RS comes with large 336mm x 30mm, ventilated front discs gripped by stiffer, single 60mm piston calipers and supported by 302mm x 11mm rear discs. This is good, but Mov’it has done better.

This new brake system combines a BILLET caliper made from solid pieces of ultra-high-strength aircraft spec aluminum and special performance brake discs made from a special alloy. What makes this brake system even better is that it can be painted according to the customer’s wishes, as shown in the Ultimate Green brakes pictured.

Prices for the Ford Focus RS’ new brake system by Mov’it have not been announced yet.

Press release after the jump.

306hp, 0-100km/h in just 5,9s and 263 km/h top speed – it’s a real sportsman. The new MOV´IT braking system for this streetable racer does not only offer brutal braking force combined with super fine modulation ability, but it can also be painted individually – for example in “Ultimate Green”.

The MOV´IT PERFORMANCE braking system consists of:
MOV´IT PERFORMANCE brake calipers: Heart of all systems is the BILLET caliper, machined from solid pieces of ultra-high-strength aircraft spec aluminum. The progressive, vehicle specific piston arrangement allows for an exactly equal contact pressure, even pad wear and perfect modulation ability.

MOV´IT PERFORMANCE brake discs: A special alloy ensures lowest possible wear. The unique perforation leads to a perfect responsive brake feeling, even under wet conditions. The inner part of the disc contains a double directional evolvent ventilation system which offers a much larger surface than same sized discs. This ensures unique heat-absorption and -transfer abilities. The discs therefore stay by far cooler than other discs of the same size.

MOV´IT PERFORMANCE brake pads: The brake pads also have an important job to do by transferring friction energy into thermal energy. Their unique, MOV´IT-developed formula guarantees super responsive pedal feel, fading free operation and highest possible lifetime.

Safety first, I think that is the first thing to be considered when purchasing a car. And I’m so grateful to hear that they have an improve the braking system of this car.

Ford would be one of the car that I have seen in the Ford production. I like the performance and it meticulous detailing as well. And with this high technology brake system, I think there’s enough reason on why should we love this car.

that’s how good the RS500 are, the MP350 package is just focused on engine and not on the body kits and aero dynamic kits, I bet the price is more higher than the RS500.

it’s a shame they don’t make it with AWD, it would be a beast with with it. it’s a limited edition anyway , I’m sure there are enough people who would pay extra for AWD.

The car will debut at the London show, but that doesn’t mean it’s only destined for the UK.
