Hennessey just unveiled the Venom F5 and we're all anxious to find out if it will set a new top speed record for production cars. That won't happen until 2021, but we can now take a closer look at the supercar thanks to Youtube's Mr JWW, who just posted a 20-minute walkaround of the Venom F5. What's more, we can also hear that massive twin-turbo V-8 engine roar.

The video starts off with the F5 revving its American-built V-8. It's only 19 seconds long, but we can hear it idling and being revved to the point where it starts popping and growling like a race-spec engine. It's aggressive, piercing, and lovely.

Then there's a full 19 minutes of footage in and out of the car, as well as a look into the engine bay. Mr JWW also provides info on details that are not immediately visible, such as the fact that the front end is made from a single piece of carbon-fiber. This means the Venom F5's nose doesn't have any shut lines and this reduces drag and helps the car cut through the air easier. When you want to hit more than 300 mph, this type of engineering is necessary.

Customers are required to take a test and if they pass it they receive a license and access to that fifth driving mode called F5. If you fail to pass it, you won't be able to enjoy the V-8's full output. We don't know what this test is all about yet, but we should find out soon enough.

The video provides a closer look at all the important exterior features and them moves inside the cabin for an in-depth look at the F5's aviation-inspired features. We can also see how the instrument cluster displays information, we can take a closer look at the satin-finish carbon-fiber detailing and the "floating" door handles with the Texas and U.S. flags.

As a brief reminder, the Hennessey Venom F5 packs a twin-turbo, 6.6-liter V-8 engine that cranks out a massive 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque. This rating makes it the world's most powerful production car. Hennessey built the Venom F5 with a new top speed record in mind and claims that the supercar will surpass the 311-mph mark. A record run is planned for the first half of 2021. As of December 2020, the official top speed record stands below 300 mph. The SSC Tuatara hit 316 mph earlier in 2020, but that benchmark has been disputed due to the company's inconsistent video footage. SSC will make a new attempt in 2021.
