Kia showcased the ProCeed Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The wagon-like car was an attention-seeker at the show, and made us wonder if the production version would be anywhere close to this. Fast-forward one year, and Kia has finally revealed the production-spec Proceed. Well, by ‘reveal’ we mean a teaser image. Yes, a single image is all we get for now.

It Is Similar To The Concept Version

The image shows the derriere of the final product and is a mixture of a wagon and an extended hatchback. For lack of a better word, we may as well call it a fastback hatch. The Proceed gets a sloping roofline, as suggested by the small rear windshield. The tailgate gets a full-width, single LED taillight; à la Aston Martin One 77, if you may. All-in-all, the Proceed is one stylish car with a perfect blend of good looks and practicality.

What’s Under The Hood?

There is no word on the technical specifications, but you can expect it to be borrowed from the hatchback and wagon models. A couple of months back, the sporty GT model was spotted with heavy camouflage. While not a lot was visible, the GT was spotted with huge alloys and red calipers; which are synonymous with ‘Sportiness.’ It is rumored that this one will have 200 horses on the tap.

The ProCeed marks the introduction of the third-generation of the Ceed lineup. The car also replaces the three-door coupe of the previous generations. It is all set to be unveiled on the September 13 and will make its public debut on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show. However, the car will not be hitting U.S. shores, as Kia mentioned that the car has been exclusively designed for the European Market. What are your thoughts on the car?
