Lamborghini will put its Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae coupe up for auction, at RM Sotheby's in New York City. But what is special about this Lambo? It is the first-ever raging bull to be sold along with a non-fungible token (NFT) or NFT.

Overview

An NFT is a digital asset of sorts that is stored in the blockchain or what is essentially a digital ledger online. You can read more about it here. When the Sant'Agata, Bolognese-based automaker updates the Aventador i.e the LP 780-4 Ultimae, a significant chapter in its history will be written. RM Sotheby's will auction this coupe model from the Italian manufacturer on April 19.

The Final Aventador Coupe With An NFT

According to Lamborghini, two of the "most prominent designers of our day," modern artists Krista Kim and DJ Steve Aoki, along with global brand storytelling agency ,->https://www.invntgroup.com] will collaborate to create a special NFT. This NFT combines design, music, and cutting-edge tech that celebrates the Italian brand's legacy.

Aside from the 1:1 car itself, the winning bidder will also get the benefits of some exclusive perks that come with an NFT. They include:

- Exclusive access to future Lamborghini Limited Edition cars

- Access to Lamborghini Museum,

- Will join the Lamborghini family

- Opportunity to virtually meet Steve Aoki and Krista Kim

The Spec

Well, in order to make it stand out from other Ultiame’s this particular example is rocking a graduated paint scheme, that starts off as a very polarising blue upfront that gradually goes on to become a jet black towards the back. On the inside as well, you’ve got what looks like luxury Alcantara and suede everywhere you look and touch along with contrasting gold accents to liven things up significantly. You can’t miss the special NFT exclusive badge between the two seats.

The Ultimae, as the name suggests, will be the ultimate V-12 Aventador and the most powerful Lambo ever, at least from the factory. With 780 horsepower and 720 pound-feet of torque from a 6.5-liter V-12 engine, this Ultimae’s power-to-weight ratio is even higher than that of the SVJ’s. 0-62 mph is done away within 2.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 220.5 mph.

Conclusion

Within the next two years, Lamborghini plans to electrify its entire supercar portfolio. As for the Ultimae, approximately 350 Aventador LP780-4 coupes and 250 Aventador LP780-4 convertibles will be manufactured in Italy.

But this coupe you see here is the final one and it should sell well over half a million dollar price of the normal Ultimae. I can’t believe I used those two words in the same sentence. You can catch the RMS Sotheby’s auction on April 19th at 6:00 pm CET / 12:00 pm EST.
