Specialty Vehicle Engineering has been the tuner for Chevrolet vehicles for decades now. The company comes up with fantastic builds often, and one of the latest creations is for the Camaro. The 2021 Yenko Camaro is offered with Stage I and Stage II builds. The Stage I makes 1,000 horses and the Stage II makes 1,050. Apart from these mighty upgrades, the car also comes with many aesthetic changes that differentiate it from the standard Camaro. There’s no word on the pricing yet, but the 2021 Yenko Camaro will be limited to 100 examples combined.

What’s Special Under The Hood?

The good folks at SVE have made use of a 6.8-liter, LT-1 supercharged engine in this build. This engine is based on the 6.2-liter V-8 that’s present in the standard Camaro.

If you opt for the Stage I option, then you get 1,000 horses and 875 pound-feet of torque to work with. Opt for the Stage II pack and you’ll have 1,050 horses and 900 pound-feet of twist at your disposal.

This is an increase of 50 horses and 25 pound-feet of torque. The changes made to the engine include:

  • Race-quality forged 4340 steel crankshaft and H-beam rods
  • Forged aluminum pistons
  • CNC ported high-flow LT4 cylinder heads
  • Upgraded fuel system and injectors
  • ARP high strength head and main studs
  • High-output custom supercharger – comes in black as standard, but oyu can opt for other colors as well
  • 10-rib dedicated belt drive system
  • 10-percent larger throttle body
  • Custom stainless steel long-tube headers with high-flow cats
  • Higher capacity high and low-pressure fuel system

The Stage II kit puts out 1,050 HP and 900 lb/ft of twist. This option is mated to a manual gearbox

Power is routed to the wheels via 10L90 heavy-duty automatic transmission when you go with the Stage I build and via a manual gearbox if you buy the Stage II build. The tuner has equipped with a custom stainless steel exhaust system as well.

There are quite a few other changes in here, that include:

  • Magnetic Ride Control
  • Electronic Limited-Slip Differential
  • Performance-tuned Suspension with unique bushings, springs, and stabilizer bars

It Is Different On The Outside And Inside As Well

On the outside, the Yenko/SC Camaro comes with a front splitter that helps reduce noise lift and also features a spoiler at the rear. There is a carbon fiber hood finished in the body color. It also features an exposed carbon fiber hood scoop.

SVE offers 20-inch wheels in two different finishes – brushed aluminum and matte black – with sYc center caps. The matte wheel can be had with a redline stripe as well. These wheels come wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2 performance tires measuring 285/30 section at the front and 305/30 section at the rear.

There are a lot of styling elements all around the body. This includes badges, side stripes, sYc graphics, etc. There are nine factory paint options offered on the Camaro, and SVE has nine different-colored side graphics.

On the inside, there aren’t a whole lot of differences, but there are enough to distinguish it from the standard Camaro. This includes Yenko-embroidered floor mats, headrest logos, and a Yenko crest badge.

The price isn’t announced, but SVE will make only 50 examples of the Stage I Camaro and 50 of Stage II. The tuner offers a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty on the engine, supercharger, Stage 1 transmission, and non-powertrain components. The car will come with two key fobs with the vehicle build number, faux leather-bound portfolio, owner’s manual, window sticker, and manufacturer’s certificate of origin.
