Yes, we all know Top Gear->ke1860 is headed to this side of the pond in a new USA version. Some skeptics are decidedly unsure of how this series will turn out and they have every reason to be. After the pilot episode with Adam Corolla, Tanner Foust, and Eric Strohmer flopped with the intensity of Toyota’s reputation, Top Gear fanatics were even more distraught over the decision to air Top Gear USA. The History Channel, however, saw a spark in the show and decided to give it a chance with a ten episode contract and a couple of new hosts. Tanner Foust returns to the Top Gear USA spotlight and is now joined by Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood.

Who are these guys? Well, hit the jump and find out.

Tanner Foust

This man barely needs an introduction. As a successful rally, drift, ice racing, and time attack driver, this man has been around the automotive block and back…a few times. He has seen many podium placements and was the 2007 and 2008 Formula Drift Pro Drift Champion. Racing isn’t the only thing he does as he is also a decorated stunt driver. His top performances have been in movies such as The Fast and the Furious: Toyko Drift, where he was the lead stunt driver, and The Bourne Ultimatum. Foust has also hosted "Supercars Exposed" for the SPEED channel.

As we mentioned before, Tanner Foust was part of the host lineup for “Top Gear USA” at the very beginning, but was the only host to swerve away from the chopping block once the History Channel picked up the show. In 2010, he will appear as a co-host for “Top Gear USA”, but will also be a Rockstar Energy Drink athlete in Formula Drift in a Papadakis Racing built Scion tC->ke1339. He will also take part in the Rally America Series and the X Games Rally.

Adam Ferrara

Adam Ferrara is a comedian and actor who currently plays Chief "Needles" Nelson on the FX series, “Rescue Me”. He has also been in movies such as Definitely, Maybe with Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fischer and Paul Blart: Mall Cop with Kevin James. He has also been seen on television series such as “King of Queens”, “The Job”, “Law and Order”, and “Ugly Betty”. Adam also spends his time performing his standup comedy while on tour across the country. He can also be seen on Comedy Central. Adam lists his favorite car as the Pagani Zonda F Roadster.

Rutledge Wood

Rutledge Wood is a dynamic personality best known for his stint as a racing analyst for the SPEED channel. He began with them back in 2005 as part of the Need for SPEED Road Tour. He currently hosts SPEED channel’s “NASCAR Smarts” with John Roberts and Kyle Petty and is a NASCAR Raceday analyst.

Wood is also a true car lover who has had over 40 cars and trucks in his lifetime. Among these cars were a Volkswagen->ke94 Rabbit pickup truck, a 1975 Bricklin SV-1, and, his favorite, a 1953 Plymouth Suburban->ke263 that was given to him by the King himself, Richard Petty.
