Not long ago, we shared information about MG’s return to making exciting sports cars. The Cyberster, as they call it, is a futuristic concept, with a retro throwback. What isn’t retro is the drivetrain, as the roadster will be powered by electricity. In any case, the MG Cyberster boasts some pretty epic figures. Although we still don’t know all the details, we do know that the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint will happen in under 3.0 seconds. In addition, you’ll be able to drive 500 miles (800 km) on a single charge – more than any other EV currently on sale.

It all sounds great on paper, but there is a catch. MG will only make the Cyberster if you show interest. This means investing $156 (around 1,000 CN¥) in a company share. Apparently, the company managed to sell 5,000 shares, which accumulated $780,000 or CN¥5.0 million.

Among the signature traits of the concept are the “Magic eye” headlights”, which open and close, and the slim grille design with an aggressive chin spoiler. The car has the rounded and streamlined design of older MG sports cars, staying true to the original classic MG cars.
