If we only had an ounce of artistic talent in our bodies, then we’d probably spend more time making our own concept renderings than sitting here in awe at the works of some of these young, hotshot designers.

But alas, we have neither the skills nor the imagination for this type of work so we’ll just settle for what we do best: talking about them.

This is the work of one Neal Steinhoff from Munich University of Applied Sciences. Obviously, just by the look of his design, you should know that it’s a MINI. Steinhoff is calling it the “MINI Core”, which is his interpretation of what the next-generation MINI could look like. In one word: nice work. Okay, that was two words, but you get the point.

Relying on an objective to make a concept that adheres to functionality, individualization, and concept novelty, Steinhoff’s MINI Core draws a lot of its design from the current MINI R56. The young designer does put a couple of new wrinkles on his concept, including the round fog lamps, the addition of a rear bumper diffuser, the arranged slot air intakes, and a more aggressive overall outline that makes the MINI Core a concept rendering that we wouldn’t mind seeing out on the road in the future.

HAHA! The car looks so funny outside. I would agree that this is bigger for a mini car. I think, as time goes by, mini cars will also be considered as a mid-size car. By the way, much better if they really change the outside look of the car.

It doesn’t look so impressive! In fact, I find the design too lame! I can’t see any sportiness and aggressiveness on this car. I still want the traditional look compare to this version.

Compare to the regular version of the MINI this car seems to be quite larger. I really don’t like its exterior for its quite over designed for me.

mini cars became more bigger and bolder. its no longer considered as mini car. v8? are they serious? with the new bigger and heavier engine they should also redesign it’s frame and suspensions.

well this is what happened when a great great designer got their hand on a great car like the mini.

I thought it was a cool commercial until I saw the video in your link. Rather shameless copy.

The rear looks "Bently-ish" to me
