Mopar has laid its hands on the 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty and has given prospective buyers one more reason to buy this truck as soon as it launches. Actually 170 reasons. Mopar debuted the modified 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty truck at the Chicago Auto Show and results are nothing but phenomenal. Mopar offers 170 aftermarket parts for the truck, ranging from lights, to trailer cameras. You name it, and Mopar has it.

170 Optional Equipments To Choose From Is No Joke

Steve Beahm, Head of FCA North America and the Head of Parts and Service, Mopar, said, “The Mopar-modified Ram 2500 Heavy Duty on display at the Chicago Auto Show is the latest example of our commitment to offering owners a full product line to choose from right at launch of FCA US LLC vehicles.

Some Add-ons Are A Must To Have

The aftermarket options will be available to owners as soon as the truck is launched, most probably in the Spring of 2019. Mopar, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' parts and accessories division, plans to offer more than 170 add-on parts for the new Ram Heavy Duty. The concept that Mopar brought to Chicago shows just a few of the parts. On top of the bed, Mopar has mounted a set of five-inch LED off-road lights, the connection to which is provided in the cabin through a new auxiliary switch panel. Mopar has also fitted the new Ram Heavy Duty with rear bed step and fender flares to protect it from scratches and damages when you take it off-roading.

Interior Options Are Limited

On the inside, the division has provided rubberized Mopar slush mats and also added stainless-steel door sill plates with "RAM" wordings on them. Does this mean we are not getting them anytime soon? The carrier can carry tires up to 37-inches in diameter. Neat, huh?

There are a lot of parts and accessories that Mopar did not show off on this truck. Some of those items include:

-* Trailer Camera

-* Fifth Wheel Hitch

-* Cargo Ramps

-* Bed Extenders

-* Katzkin Leather Seat Covers

-* Bed Tonneau Covers

-* Bedliners

-* Heavy Duty Splash Guards

These Equipments Will Not Give Away So Easily

Being an in-house division, Mopar was able to work directly with the engineering department to all the accessories were as durable as the 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty itself. Mopar says that most of the parts it has developed for the truck will be available when the truck launches.
