The electric pickup truck market is arguably the most competitive segment today. Apart from mainstream automakers dipping their toes in this niche, several new startups have dived in headfirst. Rivian, Bollinger, Atlis, Lordstown, and many more are starting their automotive journeys with electric pickup trucks, but none of them have a production-ready offering on the road yet. However, if Ford were to capitalize on this rendering of the Mach-E as a pickup – which we think it should, it could have not one, but two electric trucks on the market. Would you buy a Mach-E pickup truck?

This Design Could Serve Well As An Entry-Level Pickup Truck

Ford Mach-E is a sweet urban electric crossover, but it has received a lot of heat for wearing a Mustang badge on it. Nevertheless, its design philosophy is such that it looks good even in different outfits. A rendering artist had earlier designed the Mach-E as a rally car, and now SRK Designs has imagined the Mach-E as a pickup truck.

As you can see in the video, the Mach-E is being designed as a Supercab. It is given a raised stance, new wheels, and a truck bed with a faux roll bar. The roll bar seems a little odd here, but a better, tougher unit would look good. Also, the Mach-E’s taillight setup looks swell on a truck. Overall, it has a smart presence from the side, but as I mentioned earlier, looks are subjective and it may not be to everyone’s taste.
