After 11 years on the market, the Ranger T-6 was finally replaced! The 2023 Ranger made its debut on November 24, 2021, and we know for sure a Raptor version is just around the corner. Now, thanks to we also have a better look at the next Ranger Raptor.

The new generation Ranger brings a fresh design, inspired by the recently launched Maverick and of course this design will be carried over to the Raptor version - with the usual upgrades that we are used to seeing in the Raptor versions.

For example, the standard grille will be replaced, and instead of the small Ford logo placed center we will see big F-O-R-D letters running the entire length of the grille. The front and rear bumpers will also be replaced, and in general, the truck should have a sportier, more off-road-ready stance.

The 2023 Ranger was announced with a choice of three engines: a new 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel and a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder diesel offered in Single-Turbo and Bi-Turbo versions. So, how about the Ranger, what engine will it get?

Rumors suggest the model will be offered with either the same 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that powers the Bronco or the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 from the Explorer ST. If it will get the engine from the Bronco, the next Ranger Raptor should deliver 330 horsepower, but the second option will put 400 horsepower under the Raptor's hood.

To have something to compare it with, the current Ranger Raptor is powered by a 2.0-liter bi-turbo four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers 210 horsepower and an impressive 369 pound-feet of torque. So, no matter what engine Ford will choose, it will still be a big improvement over the current model.

Ford announced the new generation Ranger Raptor will be unveiled in February, 2022.
