Finally! The Bugatti Veyron found its competitor: the 9ff GT9 ! The GT9 is a supercar based on the Porsche 911 GT3, but don’t let yourself foolished about this comparison, the vehicle shares only 2% of its components. The engine was modified and moved in the middle of the car due to the better weight distribution.

Powered by a 4-liter flat six twin turbo engine capable of developing 987 hp you might believe that the performances of the vehicle are astonishing...well they aren’t! The 9ff GT9 is capable to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, with 0.9 seconds slower than the Sportec SP600 and over 1.7 seconds than the Bugatti Veyron. The sprint might be slower but the top speed of the car is 409 km/h, with over 3 km/h faster than the Veyron.

The price of the car? $854,000 or half of the Bugatti Veyron price, which costs approximately $1,700,000. One thing is for sure: the 9ff GT9 will definetely be more exclusive than the Veyron due to the limited production of just 20 units.

yes it’s my fav..but at the same time i wont lie on the stats somewhere there is a stock 2007 turbo doing the 0-60 at 3.1 think it was car and driver mag..not sure issue date but it featured a yellow 911 tubo on the front doing a snow test..

Baddist, I doubt it since I went through a list of the fastest production cars and the fastest recorded 0to60 for the 911turbo is 3.2(MOTOR TREND), while the GT-R did 3.2(again MOTOR TREND). And the 911 did that with the boost. I don’t know if either of are true but 3.3 for the GT-R is good enough for me and it has superior handling and braking, not to mention half the pricetag of the 911 Turbo.

But... it seems like the 911 is your favourite car and you have the right to be proud of it.

Dear Mr. (or Miss) AK47.

My comments were directed at the writer of the article...Panait. Not you. Thanks for nice comment otherwise. So, now that you have said that…do you understand my comment now?

no o-60 with the automatic and sport mode which increases the boost on the turbos increases the torque to i think 505lb ft(correct me if i’m wrong) drops the o -60 time to 3.1 seconds. without the xtra boost time is 3.3 seconds to 60 mph.

MadTourist  (1024) posted on 05.12.2008

Again everywhere Ive checked the 911 does 0to60 in 3.4 seconds. That is it’s fastest acceleration time.

MadTourist  (1024) posted on 05.12.2008

HAHA! where did you get this? Because the last time I checked, the 911 got its a*s beat by .2 seconds. Also there some site reporting that the GT-R did 3.2 and they said it was officially documented.

And... in a combined test against the Z06 and the 911 Turbo, the GT-R beat both cars in all comparisons i.e, 0to60, 1/4 mile and the racetrack.
But........ you may be right but if that is the case I would like some proof.

wow...ak looks like a gtr champion. but to correct u the 911 turbo beat the gtr on the o -60 3.1s vs 3.3s

MadTourist  (48) posted on 05.10.2008 are so smok’in it. What kind of comparison is this? You see one arbitrary number and you think the game is a foot?

MadTourist  (1024) posted on 05.10.2008

The 911 turbo, GT2 and the GT3 got their a*s whupped by the GT-R in all the races.0to60 in 4.2, don’t make me laugh. Put 900 horses in in a 2.6L inline six of a Skyline and see how fast it goes.

On the plus side this car looks good and if it can do 409km/h on six cylinders, that will be nice.
