The Hyundai Kona has been spotted testing for the first time, and it appears to have grown in size. Spotted in Sweden during its winter testing, the Kona prototype is heavily camouflaged, suggesting a new generation under the skin. It might as well be true since the current Kona has been around since 2017.

Although there’s not much to decode here because of the heavy skin, the Kona has certainly grown in size. This could’ve been done to distinguish it even further from the Bayon that’s sold in the European market. Observe carefully and you’ll notice the grille has gotten smaller. The headlights have a split design as well.

We can see exhaust pipes at the rear, which means this is powered by an internal combustion engine. We’re quite certain the electric model will be launched as well. Also, the driver was clearly not pleased with the Kona being snapped by our spy photographers.

Either that or flipping someone the bird is part of the winter testing program.
