Unless you live under a rock, you know who Doug DeMuro is. For those who don’t, Doug is a YouTuber based out of California known for his creative, detailed car reviews. Appearing in front of the camera in modest attire to review exotic, luxurious cars, Doug has a way of connecting with his audience. And, the testament to it is his four million-subscriber base on YouTube which was built in less than a decade.

Well, here’s a video by Motor Heads that tells us the story of the cargo shorts-wearing internet sensation and everything you need to know about him.

Doug started his career as a ‘Vehicle Allocation Manager’ at Porsche’s American Headquarters in Atlanta. However, he quit his job within a year since it was “boring” despite having multiple 911s as company cars at his disposal. However, his inclination towards writing soon saw him being published on “The Truth About Cars”.

Doug’s videos are known for his catchy and infectious “THISSS” intros and a simple, yet detailed review of the cars. At the end of the videos, Doug ranks them on different parameters and gives out a “Doug Score”. Despite being fairly long and filled with no extra shenanigans, the videos never get boring at any point and offer enough information for you to have water-cooler talks with your buddies.

This fairly new venture, as you might have guessed, is a car auction site wherein you can either sell or buy enthusiast cars. To date, Doug has owned around 30 cars, which includes the likes of the Volvo 850, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Dodge Viper, and even the new Land Rover Defender.

While there are no specifics on his income, a back-of-the-envelope calculation suggests that Doug makes around $200,000 per month, and he’s just 32 years old! Check out the video below for more details and stories about him and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
