The Tesla Cybertruck is a one-of-a-kind truck that features numerous unique selling points. Right from its shape to its exoskeleton, everything is unconventional. Tesla has also made use of cold-rolled steel for the body, which is the same material used by SpaceX.

Although these ‘strong features’ might seem a little too much for a standard civilian truck, there’s no denying that it has the potential to be used as an armored truck for different forces. Peisert Design has envisioned the truck as a civil armored truck, transport truck, combat truck, and reconnaissance truck.

Civil "Plaid Apocalypse" Armored Cybertruck

In the Civil “Plaid Apocalypse” Armored Cybertruck the entire truck has the armor upgraded over what Tesla has to offer. This upgrade is for the entire vehicle including the windows. The front bumpers are extended and additional bars are added to the doors for extra protection. Shocking door handles and utility storage for both the sides are also present on this rendition of the Cybertruck.

The rendering artist has equipped the truck with foldable solar panels. Interestingly, Musk has been vocal about the same idea. He had said that the reflective tonneau cover on the Cybertruck will comprise of solar panels and they will aid to the truck’s range, generating about 15 miles per day. He further added that the Cybertruck could receive “fold-out solar wings” that would increase this range to 30-40 miles per day.

This truck will be powered by the Plaid powertrain. When the Cybertruck was launched, it was estimated that the Plaid-powertrain could produce 800 horses and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. While the standard variants of the Cybertruck could feature just the locking differential, the Plaid powertrain equipped in the Cybertruck could come with torque vectoring as well. With all these features, the Civil “Plaid Apocalypse” Armored Cybertruck looks extremely desirable. It has all practical features and could be executed in reality as well.

Transport "Next Humvee" Cybertruck

The "Next Humvee" is designed for military transport and it fits into the character perfectly. Just the previous rendering, this one, too, is entirely armored, and features foldable solar panels and has utility storage on both sides. The truck is painted in a military green hue along with the U.S. Army crest and the U.S. flag on the side profile.

Peisert has touted this as the next Humvee and it has all the potential to be one. Up front, there’s a frontal launch system for the ghost USA drone. There’s also a Crows Kongsberg M153 protector mounted on the roof. On the inside, the Cybertruck is converted into a 12-seater with a third row in place of the truck bed in what looks like six jump seats. Access to these seats is via a door that seems to open upwards, although there is no mention of this. Overall, this transport Cybertruck looks the part and can audition for the military transport vehicle for the U.S. Army position.

Combat "Tank" Cybertruck

Now, this is where things are completely changed. The Cybertruck in this avatar looks deadly and an absolute monster. This is my personal favorite of the lot. First of all, this truck features a six-wheel-drive configuration, thanks to an additional third axle at the rear. The body is heavily armored and comes with a battering ram ahead of the bumper. A battering ram is equipped to batter down big walls or gates so that the vehicle can enter the premises.

Unlike the previous 12-seat configurations, this Combat Cybertruck is a five-seater. In a combat tank, you don’t need people other than the officer, driver, navigator, and gun specialist. Shocking door handles are also equipped. On the roof is a 360-degree rotational tank gun. The rendering also shows reload bays on both the sides that avoid the need for opening the doors when transferring goods, armor, or the likes. On the outside, there’s additional lighting on the front windshield and underneath the headlight bar.

Reconnaissance "Quiet Scout" Cybertruck

As the name suggests, this is a stealthy truck for reconnaissance missions. This is a shortened version of the Cybertruck and has a three-seat configuration. On the outside, it wears a camouflage paint and looks mean.

Just like the other Cybertrucks, the Quiet Scout is also armored and has shocking door handles, utility storage, and the likes. The front bumper is extended and features a cable winch. A Kongsberg M153 is mounted on the roof and a launch system is placed at the rear for a ghost UAS drone. A Cybertruck that’s true to its name.

Final Thoughts

Peisert Design has done a fantastic job in creating these four renderings. All of them are well thought out and executed, thanks to his strong photoshop skills. It looks like these renderings can serve as a base to further design Cybertrucks in various forms that can be used by the military. Check out the video to see the whole designing process of all the trucks.
