After wreaking havoc on sports cars and supercars in 2021, the Tesla Model S Plaid’s drag domination continues in 2022, starting with the Audi RS3. Sam uploaded a video of the Tesla Plaid taking on a tuned Audi RS3 on his YouTube channel ‘Sam CarLegion’. The result? Calling it a loss for the RS3 would be an understatement!

How Do They Fare Against Each Other?

The Audi RS3 is powered by a 2.5-liter, five-cylinder turbocharged engine. In the stock form, it makes 401 horses and 369 pound-feet of torque. This example, however, is far from stock. Power is channeled to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

A single-speed “gearbox” drives all four wheels here.

The Audi RS3 weighs 3,472 pounds, which makes is a lot lighter than the 4,816-pound Tesla Model S Plaid. On paper, the Audi boasts of a power-to-weight ratio of .217 hp/lb, which is better than the Plaid’s .212 hp/lb.

We Can’t Even Call Them Races

To be honest, there’s not much to write about here. It’s just the sheer dominance of the Plaid against this tuned RS3. They took part in three runs and the RS3 stood no chance in any of them. From the camera angles, you can literally see the Plaid disappear once they kick-off. The Plaid sure is scary fast.
