The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE was launched at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show, and then, a few months later, we caught the first prototype of the EQE SUV out testing in the snow. We also found that there will be an AMG version for the next electric SUV.

But now, thanks to our spy photographers, we also get a clear look at the next EQE SUV. During a visit at a test facility outside of Mercedes hometown, Stuttgart, they stumbled into the electric EQE SUV being loaded into a truck.

The car caught here is just a crash test vehicle. Notice the color and the white bumper? But still, it gives us a very good idea as to how the EQE SUV will look. To no one's surprise, the SUV resembles a lot the look of the EQE sedan - except, of course, the rear end and the higher ride height.

It also seems like the aero wheels that we've seen in the previous prototypes are used in the production car also, which is a sign that Mercedes will try to churn out every last mile of range possible.

The interior will also be inspired by the sedan, which means the SUV will offer the huge 56-inch Hyperscreen. As a reminder, the Hyperscreen runs the entire width of the dash and is essentially three screens: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch central display, and a 12.3-inch passenger display.

As for the powertrain, it should also be identical to the sedan: a rear-mounted single motor setup that delivers 288 horses and 391 pound-feet of torque. However, we expect the SUV to also offer dual-motor options with the 4MATIC system.

Expect the new EQE SUV to be unveiled later this year, with the AMG version to follow a few months later.
