The brief teaser for No Time to Die hasn’t even gone cold yet, and here we are looking at the first official trailer. As is the usual case, there is plenty of automotive action going on, including a completely fresh take on Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 – one of the most famous action-movie cars in history. That DB5 even has a fresh upgrade (and probably more that we haven’t seen.)

James Bond 007 – No Time to Die Official Trailer

First off, let me point out that Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 now has Gatling guns hidden behind the headlights. It sure would be nice if Aston would offer this as an official accessory, but we’ve been told you actually have to carry “00” status to even see them on the order page.

Back to the point at hand, it’s not only Bond’s classic DB5 that gets attention in the first official trailer. For a brief moment, we get to see him pilot a classic Series II V8 Vantage, albeit it – apparently – without all the cool gadgets. That part doesn’t really seem right, but it did have a very brief debut, so you never know what can happen. Later on in the short trailer, the new DBS Superleggera gets a few seconds of screen time as well. We’re told that the Aston Martin Valhalla supercar will make an appearance too, but it’s not in this trailer – maybe it’ll be in the next one.

From a story standpoint, No Time to Die could end up being one of the most interesting (and maybe even controversial) Bond movies of all time. As the story goes, Bond is retiring from his life as a spy but, naturally, his CIA friend – Agent Felix Leiter – asks for his assistance, pulling him back into the life before he could really get out. A new spy that goes by the name Nomi now carries around a “00” name while Rami Malek serves as a villain that happens to be in possession of a “dangerous new technology.”

We’re still not sure how everything is going to turn out, but No Time to Die is set to premiere in April 2020, so we don’t have that long to wait. You can also expect at least one or two more trailers between now and then to keep the suspension and hype going.
