The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet posted a video to its Facebook page showing what snowplow trucks can do when they work in sync. The mesmerizing footage was taken along the I-75 highway, and it shows seven snowplow trucks trying to clear away all the snow that fell during last month’s winter freeze in the southern states of the United States. It’s a thankless job, but the drivers of these snowplow trucks deserve their roses for their efforts in making affected roads as clean and as safe as possible.

Watching this video gives you an idea of how important teamwork is in a setting like this. The seven snowplows are positioned in a staggered stance. The lead truck is positioned against the barrier, pushing the snow to the left side for the next plow. The snow is basically pushed from one side of the highway to the other, all the way onto the grass past the shoulder. It’s a slow and deliberate process, and watching the snowplows at work is gratifying.

The efficiency is also top-class and very much needed considering how Snowpocalypse 2021 affected so many people in the southern states. Similar efforts were made in other areas to clear away snow against the highway barrier, and all of it is done to improve road safety for all motorists. So while it might be inconvenient to see these snowplows on the road given how slow they’re moving, it’s important to understand that they’re there for a specific reason, and that’s to make it safe for everyone to go about their business.
