Rendering artist Jon Sibal is known for his wonderful creations. His latest project is the Aston Martin Vulcan Speedster and it looks stunning. The renderings come as part of Jon’s collaboration with Meguiar’s for an art series called “Portrait of an Icon”. This is the fourth installment of the series. The Vulcan in a Speedster avatar is a treat to the eyes.

How Different Is It From The Standard Vulcan?

The Vulcan Speedster renderings give a nice tweak to the original Vulcan. Finished in the signature Aston Martin green exterior shade, Jon removed the roof and designed a Tonneau cover in its place. This also meant shortening the windshield.

He finished the grille up front and the sills on the sides in green and yellow accents, an ode to the original DBR1. The Speedster also wears the ‘01’ meatballs on the sides, the rear, and on the hood as an homage to Meguair’s, which was established in 1901. The widebody fenders were also shaped to create an hourglass figure.

Finally, Jon designed a classic set of deep-dished BBS Impul race wheels as a design nod to the trend from the 2010s wherein new cars rocked old-school wheels. These wheels are essentially a modern version of the original wire mesh wheels that were seen on the DBR1.

Speaking of the Aston Martin Vulcan, the British automaker unveiled it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The Vulcan came with a massive 7.0-liter, V-12 engine that made 820 horses. Power was sent to the wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox. The performance specs were equally stunning, with Aston Martin claiming a “less than three seconds” time to 60 mph from naught and a top speed of 200+ mph. It was limited to 24 examples with a price of $2.3 million a pop.

At the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the automaker unveiled the AMR Pro package for the Vulcan that included many aerodynamic components such as side wheel arch louvers, large dive planes, rear wing with a Gurney flap, etc.
