It was not that long ago when a brief press blurb from BMW announced the arrival of the BMW M3 Touring. With the said blurb came a darkened picture of the wagon M3’s derriere, which didn’t exactly say much related to what the more practical M3 would look like.

Thankfully, the internet is oozing with skilled pixel manipulators eager to fill in the gap left by the automaker.

Since there was nothing to discuss about the M3 Touring’s powertrain and drivetrain other than BMW’s cryptic message saying that “the six-cylinder M TwinPower turbo engine beneath the bonnet has been set,” we went along with the existing rumors which said a standard manual is in the cards together with a spicier Competition trim with 503 horsepower on tap and perhaps xDrive, too.

On the visual front, we expect the bucktooth grille to remain as seen on the M3 sedan and M4 coupe. Even so, the M3 Touring is bound to generate a lot of interest from BMW’s fan and customer bases, and seeing Sugar Design’s renders, it is hard not to get excited.

I mean, they are so good that I am willing to close an eye and forget about the gaping grille just to enjoy the rest of the design.
