It’s not often that you see two Lamborghini Sians in the same place at the same time

Sian, the Lamborghini that’s been named after the Bolognese-dialect word for lightning, is the carmaker’s first step towards electrification. Other than its intricate hybrid internals, the Sian is also a jolly joy to look at as highlighted by these pictures.

Being a Lamborghini and all, the Sian won’t tickle your fancy with smooth curves and fluid proportions. Sant’Agata Bolognese isn’t into that sort of design approach anyway. Instead, the Sian looks viciously sexy as you’re about to see.

The reason behind this particular photo shoot was the delivery of two Sians to their customers by Lamborghini London, which is run by luxury car dealership H.R. Owen.

Both cars were taken for a trip around London and photographed near the city’s landmarks, including the Tower Bridge and the The O2. Other than just a mere sightseeing tour, these cars are vivid examples of what Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division can create for whoever’s willing to pay a hefty price on personalization.

That said, we’re having a hard time deciding which Sian we like best – the grey one (color name is Grigio Nimbus, by the way) with its exposed carbon roof and Rosso Mars accents or the black one (aka Nero Helene) with the carbon fiber hood, Oro Electrum wheels and white accents.

Regardless of the attire it wears, every Lamborghini Sian of the 63-unit limited run mixes a naturally-aspirated V-12 that cranks up 774 horsepower (15 horsepower more than in the Aventador SVJ) with a supercapacitor system and an electric motor (34 horsepower) for a total output of 807 horsepower. There’s no Li-ion battery on board, with the supercapacitor providing the required energy to power the e-motor.

0-62 mph happens in 2.8 seconds and the Sian can continue the sprint to a top speed of 218 mph. Which is mind-boggling in it of itself, however, were you really expecting anything less from a car that looks so good even without moving?

At that time, he was too young to know how they worked and way too young to drive them, but he could see one thing – each of them had a different ethos and their own unique personality. As time went on, he started seeing that in other cars as well, and his love for the automobile was born.  Read full bio

London, 26th January 2021. Lamborghini London, operated by the H.R. Owen Group, celebrated the arrival of two Lamborghini Sián models in the UK this month with a world-first twin photoshoot. Only three Siáns – of 63 produced in total – will be delivered to UK customers, and Lamborghini London is responsible for the sale of all of them.

The Sián is the most powerful and fastest accelerating Lamborghini ever produced, using a world-first hybrid supercapacitor powertrain, combining a 6.5-litre V12 engine with a 48-volt e-motor delivering a total of 819hp. The Sián accelerates from 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed of over 217 mph.

Unlike traditional lithium-ion battery storage, which can be heavy and slow to charge, the Sián uses a lightweight supercapacitor that is fully charged every time the vehicle brakes. With the entire e-motor and supercapacitor system weighing in at just 34kg, it’s three times more powerful than a battery of the same weight and three times lighter than a battery storing the same power.

With its carbon-fiber monocoque, titanium intake valves, active aerodynamics and rear-wheel steering, the Sián employs cutting-edge technology everywhere —not only in the world’s first supercapacitor hybrid system.

Each of the 63 Siáns will be individually styled by their owners in conjunction with Lamborghini’s design centre and Ad Personam personalisation department and the first two Lamborghini London customers have opted for contrasting personalities. The lighter of the two is finished in a Grigio Nimbus with exposed carbon weave roof and Rosso Mars accents, complemented by a Nero Ade interior with Rosso Alala contrasts.

The darker Sián has been personalised with Nero Helene bodywork set off by exposed carbon fibre on the bonnet, front lamp inserts fenders and engine cover. Additional highlights are finished in Oro Electrum, which is also used within the alloy wheels, themselves set within bespoke Pirelli tyres, with white detailing. The interior mirrors the striking bodywork, with Nero Ade base leather and Oro Electrum stitching and highlights.

Lamborghini London is one of four H.R. Owen Lamborghini showrooms; London, Pangbourne, Manchester and Hatfield. Each delivers the world-class service and sales that are hallmarks of the Lamborghini and H.R. Owen brands. Lamborghini London has consistently been the UK’s most successful Lamborghini showroom in terms of sales numbers since it opened in 1999.
