These days, tuners will slap a wide body kit on pretty much everything that has four wheels, and while some cars are suited for such a treatment, other are not.

The Lexus LC500 falls in the first category, but fitting it with wider wheel arches and beefier bumpers might not be for everyone. I mean, should you ask for our two cents, we’d tell you that the LC500 is design perfection in stock guise. However, we're glad that there are voices who beg to differ.

This Lexus LC500 Wide Body is Droolworthy

Liberty Walk, for example, is actually selling a wide body kit for the LC500 and if you can recall, Artisan Spirit brought a NFS-esque blacked-out LC500 to last year’s SEMA Show, much to our drooling. But that’s not the reason we brought you here.

You might have heard about Khyzyl Saleem (if you haven’t, go check his Facebook and Instagram pages ASAP). He’s one of the few digital illustrators that manage to create completely new cars from a blank sheet of (digital) paper and place them in dystopian, futuristic cyberpunk-y settings. Enter his latest work: a visually souped-up Lexus LC500 that looks ready to obliterate every unfortunate soul that crosses its path.

Seriously, these are not photographs. Coming back to the wide-bodied LC500, we’re not sure what to love first. The wide stance, the pure aggressiveness, or the intricate wing that dominates the rear end? From some angles, we can see a bit of the LFA in there, along with some Lamborghini-like cues. Alright, we’ve made up our mind: we love the whole thing, including the Volk TE37 racing wheels.

As for what’s under the hood, we think we can all agree that the 471-horsepower, 398-pound-feet of torque, 5.0-liter V-8 found inside the current LC500 would do the job nicely. Even in stock form, the powerplant can take the LC500 from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 168 mph.

We don’t know about you, but we also have a crush on Khyzyl’s work on the new Toyota Supra A90, another example of a sports car that’s extremely tuning-friendly, not only from the mechanical standpoint but also when it comes to aesthetic tweaks.

Would you use Khyzyl’s Lexus LC500 as a muse for your car’s new wide body kit?
