The Lancia Fulvia has been one of the wonders of the FCA (presently Stellantis). Manufactured between 1963 and 1976, the Fulvia was made available in three forms: a four-door sedan named Berlina, a two-door Coupé, and Sport. The Lancia Fulvia gained its share of popularity when it won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1972, elevating public interest in motorsport and rallying. Now there's a 1973 Fulvia 1600 HF, a two-door coupe, going for a digital auction on Bring a Trailer. The bid as of the time of this writing is just $30,000, so this should be delightful news if you are a car collector.

So what’s unique about the Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF?

Piero Castagnero designed the Fulvia 1600 HF you see here, and he is remembered for this car’s iconic design back in the day. Compared to the four-door sedan, the two-door coupe has a shorter wheelbase. This specimen of the Fulvia 1600 HF comes in an eye-catching red exterior color and has 13-inch wheels, flared wheel arches, a driver-side mirror, and HF fender lettering. The wheels come wrapped in 185/70 Pirelli tires set in 2017. One of the unusual things about the Fulvia 1600 HF is that it came fitted with disc brakes on all four wheels from the factory. The CV joints on this particular model were restored and greased in January 2022.

The Fulvia 1600 HF Coupé is a compact car, and it shows when you will open the door and get inside. Two black vinyl bucket seats with lap harness house inside the cabin. The dashboard has wood trim and features a Vergia Borletti metric instrumentation along with a Philips cassette player. The odometer displays only 15,000 miles, which indicates that the Fulvia 1600 HF has not been driven much. A classic three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in leather and houses the Lancia badge in the center.

Powering the Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF is a unique 1973 1,584cc narrow-angle naturally aspirated V-4, which is inclined by 45 degrees. This engine is fitted to dual carburetors from Solex and was rated at 113 horsepower. The engine drives the front wheels only and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Before the auction, the car was serviced with new hoses, and motor mounts, and the carburetor was tuned. In addition, the seller had confirmed that multiple fluid changes were done before the car went off for the auction.
