The Chevrolet Corvette is an American icon, not just on its home soil, but across the pond. While the C4 generation is generally considered to not be the model’s finest hour, its top-of-the-line version, the ZR-1, is certainly a sight to behold. With this in mind, plenty of “Vettes” made it across the pond and this particular example, 1991 ZR-1, located in Enkhuizen, Netherlands, is up for grabs, and it looks like the bargain of the century.

Being a 1991 model, this C4 ZR-1 comes with the less powerful version of the Lotus-developed V-8. The LT5 engine is still based on the standard C4 Corvette’s L98 unit and even has the same, 5.7-liter displacement. However, it features numerous improvements, including a DOHC valvetrain, which bumps output to 375 horsepower (280 kilowatts) and 370 pound-feet (502 Nm). From 1993 onwards, those numbers are 405 horsepower (302 kilowatts) and 385 pound-feet (522 Nm). Regardless of the model year, the only available transmission is a ZF, six-speed manual, which sends power to the rear.

This particular example is finished in Arctic White over red interior upholstery. The first owner acquired the car from Bud’s Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Buick Inc. in St. Marys, Ohio, and it was imported to the Netherlands in 2021. The odometer indicates 28,656 miles (46,117 km). The last service was carried out in October 2021, and since then, car has covered only 200 miles (322 km).

The Arctic White Corvette C4 ZR-1 is advertised as having all available options, including the Special Performance Package, with 17-inch alloy wheels, heavy-duty brakes, electronic air conditioning, the ride and handling package, electrically adjustable sport bucket seats, solar glass, Bose audio, and more. The exterior paint is original and in great condition, while the red leather interior has some minor creasing, which can be described as the usual, for this age, wear and tear.

Back in 1991, the Chevrolet Corvette C4 ZR-1 was one of the fastest American cars, with a top speed of 176 mph (284 km.h). The 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) sprint took 4.5 seconds with the quarter-mile passing by in 12.8 seconds at over 111 mph (179 km/h). Over its six-year production period, the C4 Corvette ZR-1 was produced in 6,939 examples, which makes it one of the rarest American sports cars. At the time of writing this, the bid for this 1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is at €3,200 with five days before the bidding ends. As far as modern American classics go, we think this one is definitely worth checking out.
