• This 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Looks Super Sexy, Even in the Snow

540 horsepower and tons of downforce is the recipe for new records

LISTEN 01:51

If a few days ago Porsche 911 GT3 RS prototypes were caught testing on the roads around Weissach, now Porsche took the sports car in Sweden for some serious cold weather testing. Even if under lots of camouflage, it is clear that Porsche aims to build the most radical, track-focused Porsche 911 GT3 ever and most likely will aim for a new Nurburgring lap record. If it will succeed or not, we will find out in the summer of 2022 when the new GT3 RS is supposed to be launched.

In the previous spy shots, we could notice that Porsche will go for new, more classic door handles in an attempt to save more weight. The new pictures however, reveal that in fact the car will get special doors altogether. The part of the front fender between the front wheel and the door is part of the advanced aero that actually expands into the door.

The front and rear bumper, the front and rear fenders are still camouflaged, making it hard to see how different the RS will be when compared to the standard GT3. What is very clear though, is that the GT3 RS will get a massive motorsport-derived rear wing and aggressive aero bits that will provide serious amounts of downforce.

We also heard a lot of talking about the RS logo. It seems that Porsche is going back to its roots and the new RS will actually get the same RS logo as the first 911 2.7 RS from 1973.

As for the engine, rumors suggest that the high-revving 4.0-liter normally-aspirated flat-six will deliver up to 540 horsepower - up from the 503 horsepower in the current 911 GT3.
