About three years ago, the most heavily-modified Honda Civics in the US gathered on a runway and had a drag race. Two of the cars pushed well-over 1,000 horsepower, but the winner was a relatively stock-looking EG hatchback, with 900 horsepower and all-wheel-drive conversion. Needless to say, the car proved a point – power is nothing without control. Fast-forward three years and AWD high-horsepower Civic builds are starting to become more mainstream. The YouTube channel “That Racing Channel” (TRC) stumbled upon one of them.

This particular Civic is an EJ, which means it’s a sixth-generation Civic sedan. As with other cars on this channel, the owner shares what the build consists of. It’s a relatively stock K20A2 engine, with a cam, pistons, and a flex-fuel system, in order to run E85. At first glance, it’s your typical big turbo build, but there’s more. The car has a full interior, with the exception of the rear seats, which are now large speakers. There’s also what seems to be a large subwoofer that takes the entirety of the trunk space. The man loves his music.

Apparently, he also loves being under the radar, since the car looks almost like any other Civic, except for the stance, coming from the bigger 17-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo 888 rubber. The also looks very clean on the inside, with the most notable features being the addition of a boost and oil-pressure gauges and the new shifter. And yes, this is a daily driver.

While on shakedown runs with the 900 wheel-horsepower Civic (almost 908 to be exact), the owner and YouTuber talk about how the car feels more stable than even many of the modified Lancer EVO and Impreza STI cars, thanks to the all-wheel-drive conversion. The AWD system is comprised entirely of factory parts. Watch the video to learn the story behind this crazy build and how it destroys a Hellcat.
