The Mercedes-AMG G63’s love affair with aftermarket companies continues. We’ve seen it being transformed into a pickup truck, a fast version, a themed version, and a whole host of other variations. This time, it turns into a glorified limo with an armored body; not Cybertruck armor, but actual armor. Inkas, a Canada-based company that’s known to armor passenger cars has morphed a 2020 G63 into a luxurious SUV that can take anything thrown at it - quite literally.

This SUV Is As Luxurious As It Can Get

It seats just four people but is loaded to the gills when it comes to creature comforts. The captain chairs at the rear recline fully and come with heating and massaging functions. They can be had with either leather or Alcantara. You can have a powered partition between the front and the rear seats that features a 4K television. A control deck is placed between the seats to operate it. A premium sound system is also equipped to keep the audiophiles happy.

It Comes With Heavy Armor Protection

Inkas says it offers protection against attacks from 7.62x51mm or .308 Winchester FMJ ammunition, and can also withstand an explosion from two hand grenades detonated simultaneously below the limousine floor. The G63 is equipped with run-flat tires on all the four corners that allow it to drive fast even when all the tires are punctured. The armoring also covers the battery and electronic control modules. There’s an overlap system for door seams to ensure there are no vulnerable spots. Finally, Inkas has installed high-quality ballistic glass to round off the armoring package.

This G63 Is Powered By The Standard Engine

Power is sent to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox. It features a central differential lock along with a front and rear diff lock, and a low range as well. It takes 4.5 seconds to hit the 62 mph mark and the top speed is limited to 136 mph. Since there is no power bump but a lot of extra weight, we don’t think the SUV can be that quick or touch such high speeds. Inkas has, however, upgraded the suspension components.
