Ford has unveiled the Bronco 4600 race truck series that will take part in the Ultra4 Class races. This comes following the three 4400 rally class Broncos that the automaker showcased earlier this week. The Bronco 4600 will not be street legal, of course, but it comes with a plethora of equipment that can make you go weak in the knees. Ford has noted that it will be based on the two-door Bronco with the V-6 engine.

What’s Special About The Bronco 4600?

The Bronco 4600 will be based on the two-door Bronco with the Sasquatch Package equipped. It comes with a custom roll cage sourced from Geiser Brothers. The 4600 series trucks will be painted in a Race Red, Oxford White, and Velocity Blue livery. The front end is inspired by the 1969 Baja-1000 Bronco as it comes with a matte black hood, and white upper and red lower body lines. The hood sports a white Bronco logo and a red ‘R’ logo on the grille. The company has also installed modified front and rear modular steel bumpers with and a Warn winch. Illumination duties are taken over by RIGID LED off-road lights. On the inside, the Bronco 4600 comes with off-road-certified race shells from Recaro.

The Bronco 4600 will ride on 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud-terrain T/A KM3 tires wrapped around Method Race Wheels 202 Forged Beadlock wheels. It comes with the High-performance Off-road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system that features Fox coilover shocks with remote reservoirs and Fox pneumatic bump stops at all four corners.

Furthermore, it comes with heavy-duty front portal hubs from 74 Weld that are mounted to Triton Engineering control arms with a heavy-duty Howe hydraulic steering rack.

Under the hood will be a 2.7-liter, V-6 EcoBoost mill that produces 310 ponies and 400 pound-feet of twist. Even though the Sasquatch Package can now be had with the manual gearbox, Ford has gone with the 10-speed automatic gearbox which makes sense for such a vehicle. Even though all the changes have been noted, this is what the Sasquatch Package includes:

The Bronco 4600 series teams feature off-road veterans like Vaughn Gittin Jr., Loren Healy, Jason Scherer, Bailey Cole, Brad Lovell, and Roger Lovell. The testing of the Bronco 4600 will begin later this month and will race in this year’s Ultra4 Racing event and Ford will use this as a testbed to introduce more accessories under the Ford Performance Parts.
